Planting material assessment for nurseries
Keep each measurement connected to its plant, batch and nursery workflow
Identify the batch and sample
Before measurement, record which batch the sample belongs to, its variety and the relevant production stage. A sample identifier helps keep readings traceable when plants move between nursery operations
Use a consistent process
Define how samples are selected and how readings will be recorded. Follow the device instructions for the material being assessed. Record relevant observations and conditions so that differences between readings can be interpreted in context
Keep a reviewable record
Store measurements with the plant or sample identity in the mobile app. Review records across samples and batches in phytotester.ai. Keep observations alongside the values rather than treating an isolated number as a complete quality decision
Research and interpretation
The AGROSYM 2023 paper discusses bioelectrical measurements of planting and grafting material. Its conclusions describe assessment in 5–10 seconds under the reported conditions. This is not a universal acceptance threshold or a replacement for phytosanitary testing. A demo can clarify the workflow for your material
